There’s an old saying that claims, ‘if you want to go fast go alone. If you want to go far, go together.’ In many ways, the work of Poverty Truth Network bears witness to this. By intentionally building relationships between people struggling against poverty and civic, political and business leaders, we grapple with some of the difficult challenges that are faced by many in the UK. Rather than seeking quick fix solutions, we identify the underlying causes of poverty and seek to discover solutions aimed at delivering long-term change.

This new blog function is aimed at enabling you to walk with us on this journey. People from across the network will tell stories about the work they are engaged with. There will be reflection pieces sharing something of the approach we take. It will be a place where you can keep up to date with some of the issues that local commissions and the network are wrestling with. From time to time, we will think aloud about the hopes, challenges, and possibilities that are faced by people experiencing poverty and those who are seeking to alleviate it.
